Compare / Edgee
Personal plan visibility.
Or fleet-wide policy.
Tokensitter is a plan-first widget and local plugin. Edgee documents an agent gateway with compression and routing strategies.
A personal overview, or centrally managed routing policies?
Edgee documents strategies that combine budget thresholds with model rules, assignable to a developer, squad or organization, and a separate compression page covering tool results, tool definitions and response verbosity.
| Compare | Tokensitter | Edgee |
|---|---|---|
| Routing | Optional relay for API keys, off until you enable it for a key: step rules, a conversation classifier as prior, escalation and cache-aware switching. | A strategy defines budget thresholds and model rules. [1] |
| Compression | Local read and reply levers, plus a separate relay that shrinks tool results. | Documents removing redundant output from tool results, selecting task-relevant tool definitions, and reducing verbosity in responses. [2] |
| Plan caps | The local plugin works with plan logins; relay routing needs an API key. | Documents continuing after consumer subscription plan caps by routing to an available model. [1] |
| Scope | One person: a compact menu-bar widget with a per-app drilldown. | A strategy can be assigned to a developer, squad or organization. [1] |
Edgee's compression page states: "Compression savings and routing savings are distinct." [2] Edgee documents both routing and compression. Tokensitter relay routing uses API keys only and never proxies a subscription login.

Choose for your workflow
Consider Tokensitter when your first question is how your own plan and API apps are being used. Consider Edgee when your first question is how to govern routing across a team.
We have no controlled head-to-head benchmark against Edgee, so this page makes no claim about which saves more or answers better. Our own lab results, with their limits, are on Benchmarks. These are fixed tasks run in a test harness, not your sessions. Your saving depends on your prompts, your files and how long your sessions run.
